Recorded Life Stories
Every life holds stories worth keeping. Preserve yours—or help a loved one share theirs—through a relaxed recorded conversation, treasured photographs, and meaningful keepsakes.
Choose a simple interview recording or an edited personal documentary that brings selected stories and photographs together for you and your loved ones.
Sessions follow the storyteller’s pace, with breaks and the freedom to skip questions or stop. Recording and sharing are agreed beforehand, and finished videos are private unless you authorize otherwise.
Video Editing
Turn existing footage into a clear, thoughtfully arranged video. Help can include:
- Trimming and sequencing footage
- Titles, captions, and transitions
- Basic visual effects and audio adjustments
- Combining video with photographs and other supplied material
Interview & Video Recording Setup
Prepare for an interview or personal recording with help arranging cameras, lighting, audio, and a comfortable recording space. We discuss your equipment, location, and goals to agree on what support is needed.
How Your Project Works
- Tell John what you have in mind. Share your goals and describe any footage, photographs, or equipment you already have.
- Agree on the project. We confirm scope, deliverables, timing, revisions, and pricing before work begins.
- Record, edit, and review. The agreed work is completed, with an opportunity to review the result before final delivery.
AI-assisted tools may be used where appropriate, with human review and specific agreement about how your material will be handled.
Media services and projects are quoted separately. Everyday technology support and shared-session rates do not apply.

Common questions about media services
Can I pause or skip questions during recording?
Yes. Sessions follow the storyteller’s pace. You may skip a question, take a break or stop recording. We obtain consent from every participant and pause if authority or consent is unclear.
Can you use my family photographs and existing videos?
We can discuss combining selected material with your recording. You must have permission to use supplied photographs, footage and music. Owning a print does not necessarily include copyright permission.
How much does a media project cost?
Media projects are quoted individually. We agree on recording, editing, deliverables, revisions, timing, payment and any travel charge before work begins. Everyday individual and shared-session rates do not apply.
Will my Recorded Life Stories video be public?
No. Delivery is private to the recipients you authorize. Website, social media, advertising and portfolio use require a separate optional release. You may decline public use.
